Huy it's one of those days when the sky threatens to rain in a very ominous type of way, the birds call, the delicate buds lingering on the branches of the trees threaten to fall with each sway, anticipating the precipitation of the clouds. I've spent the last few days starring out the window through a curtain of rain drops hoping mother nature will spare me a few hours of sunshine so I can tend to the gardens outside. I've even tried reciting the nursery rhyme several times but no such luck...
rain, rain, go away,
Moni wants to plants her flowers today!

Losing a beloved pet
Dear Thursday, At exactly 11:30 pm today our beloved family cat, Lulu went to sleep forever. He will be greatly missed. And while I try to tell myself he will be in a better place and that he’ll feel no more pain, it’s just been really difficult to let him go. My kitty was the most lovable, affectionate little bugger around. He may not have been the brightest cat on the block and probably a little bit on the klutzy side (he’s run into the glass sliding door several times and fallen out a couple of trees) but he loved my family unconditionally. While we’ve had a few days to digest the bad news and learn to cope with his loss, it has not been very easy for my family, particularly for my mom. Last night she cradled him in her arms, stroking his head as if he was her baby and I think deep down inside, she felt like she was losing her own child. My cat Lulu was not just a pet and I think most pet owners understand that their lovable furry friend becomes more like a member of the family rather than just a pet. The grief I feel over losing him is unexplainable. I know that I want to cry. I can feel my eyes get misty and my nose swell up as I type this. It’s not easy to comprehend the intensity of losing a love one any more than I can help writing these words as a form of closure, as a form of understanding what is, in fact, incomprehensible…
I just really miss my cat…
